Our very first Member's Event

Members were greeted with coffee and pastries on arrival and split into teams, where they were sent on a friendly 75 bird competition and then a very special challenge;  A Gnat Flush! 

"The Gnat" is a radio controlled delta shaped aircraft that carries 10 friction sensitive explosive pods on the underside of the wing. These pods explode with an intensely bright flash and a loud bang when hit. The aim of the exercise is to ultimately shoot it down. It can been done but it takes a lot of skill to do so. 

Followed by prizes, lunch and an afternoon with the grounds kept private for their exclusive use, our inaugural Members Event was a wonderful way to wrap up the summer season. If you would like to join us next year, become a member of Grimsthorpe Estate Shooting Ground.
