Grimsthorpe Estate Shooting Ground is pleased to be hosting the first Wilde & Glorious Grimsthorpe Ladies Cup. Whether you are an experienced shot or completely new to the sport, join us for an exhilarating morning of shooting with the chance to win some fabulous prizes.
Including: Purdey tweed, Schoffel clothing, Clare Haggas scarves, Edwards Eyewear, Gamebore cartridges, Swatcom ear defenders, driving experiences from Inchcape Jaguar Land Rover and much more.
Once shooting has concluded, enjoy a glass of fizz and our Wilde & Glorious sweetie buffet whilst indulging in some retail therapy in Home Wood & Hale and our shopping village. We will be raising money for the incredible breast cancer charity; Coppafeel. £5 from every entry, plus all proceeds raised from the welly wanging competition go directly to the charity.

Katie Absalom
Many of you will know Katie from her time at Purdey and the Royal Berkshire where she headed up events, marketing and brand for nearly ten years. Katie has now founded an exciting new boutique events, marketing and PR agency, Wilde & Glorious.
The Wilde & Glorious team create soulful, immersive experiences for individuals and businesses, as well as helping brands to tell their story and stand out in their niche. They would love to hear from you.
The Shooting
We are offering three categories of shooting to suit all levels of experience. Every category has some amazing prizes up for grabs for first, second and third place.
Novice
Novices are ladies who are very new to shooting or have never shot before. You’ll enjoy a fun introduction to the sport of clay shooting.
Expert tuition will be given by our professional instructors and all equipment will be provided including a shotgun, ammunition, clays and all necessary safety wear.

Intermediate
Intermediate shots are those that can shoot competently and safely and do not need to be accompanied by an instructor.
You will shoot an 80 ‘bird’ sporting competition over a course that is designed to be fun but challenging too. You will need to provide your own cartridges and you are welcome to purchase them from us on the day (please note we are a fibre wad only ground).

SERIOUS SHOTS
This one is for ladies with a CPSA Classification of C or above. You will shoot an 80 ‘bird’ sporting competition over a course that is designed to be fun but challenging too.
You will need to provide your own cartridges and you are welcome to purchase them from us on the day.

You are more than welcome to book with friends (we pop you into squads of 5). Please note novices shoot a separate course but Intermediate and Serious shots shoot the same course together with different prize categories.

Ladies arrive at Grimsthorpe Estate Shooting Ground for a breakfast of bacon rolls, tea and coffee, served in the clubhouse.
9.45am
Welcome from Katie of Wilde & Glorious and briefing from our head instructor.
10.00am
Shooting commences
11.30am
Refreshments and sweet treats are served out on the grounds
1.30pm
Shooting concludes. Guests are treated to a glass of fizz, a sweet buffet and the opportunity to indulge in some retail therapy.

High Tower Challenge!
Many of you may have already tried your hand at our incredible High Tower! We are excited to announce that this will be included as a stand within the Intermediate and Serious shots course.
As an extra treat, world class clay shot and coach Ed Solomons will shoot against you on this stand!
Anyone that beats Ed will go into a prize draw to win a special prize
(and have bragging rights forevermore!)
Welly Wanging
We will be running a fun welly wanging competition on the day with the winner receiving a special prize. All funds raised will be donated directly to Coppafeel.
Wilde Challenge
We invite brands, organisations, publications and more to enter a team of 5 into the ‘Wilde Challenge’ to win a prize for all team members.
The ladies within the team don’t need to be employees of the particular brand, you just need to let us know if you are representing them before the event date. Who will take home the title?

If you will be travelling from some distance to join us and require any recommendations for dining or accommodation, please do not hesitate to get in touch. We are always happy to advise on the best places to sleep and eat in our corner of Lincolnshire. We are only 15 minutes away from the beautiful Georgian town of Stamford and 30 minutes from Peterborough.
