The word wreath is said to come from the old English word “writhen” meaning to twist, as in a circle or wheel. Wreaths have been around since the 16th Century and the Romans displayed them as a symbol of victory. It's circular shape has no beginning and no end representing the cycle of seasons.
Participants will use an assortment of materials, including pine cones, feather, dried fruits, seed heads and ribbons to create a live wreath in this fun wreath making workshop. Using the provided kit, our talented teaching florist will show you how to:
- Cut decorative elements and attach them to the base with wire
- Use different materials and textures to create a balanced arrangement
- Make a festive bow to finish!
By the end of class, you'll have a stunning wreath to display on your front door throughout the Christmas season.
